Insurance Plans
At Crofton Family Eye Care, we participate in both vision and medical insurance plans. Often, a vision plan is used for a “routine” or “wellness” eye examinations. Some vision plans also include a materials benefit, which provides some coverage towards eye glasses (frames and/or lenses) or contact lenses. We also participate in medical insurance plans for eye examinations and medical visits as it relates to the eye, such as treatment for red eye, chronic eye diseases like glaucoma or macular degeneration, and dilated eye examinations for diabetic patients. When calling to schedule an appointment, please have your insurance information available so that we may verify our participation with your plan and your materials (eyeglasses and/or contact lenses) benefits. Some insurance plans require prior-authorization or a referral prior to the visit.
